Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of this website. They are separate from any agreement for a website project: if you hire PixelWielder, that project is governed by its own written agreement.

Applies to this website. Effective date: November 2, 2026.

1. About these terms

This website is operated by PixelWielder Web Studio ("PixelWielder," "we," "us" or "our"), a web design studio based in Richmond, Virginia. PixelWielder Web Studio is the business name of a sole proprietorship; it is not a corporation or limited liability company. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information you send us through the website.

2. What this website is for

This website describes PixelWielder's web design services, our process and examples of our work, and it lets you send us a project inquiry. It is provided for general information. Nothing on it is professional, legal or financial advice for your business.

3. Prices and service descriptions

The prices on this website are starting prices, not fixed or all-inclusive quotes, and our package and service descriptions are summaries. They are not an offer that you can accept by submitting an inquiry.

  • The pages, features, revision rounds, price, payment terms and timeline for a project are set only in a written scope or agreement for that project.
  • Domain registration, website platform subscriptions and hosting, and third-party licenses and services are separate from our design fee unless a written scope says otherwise. They are ordinarily billed to you directly by those providers.
  • Ongoing maintenance is not included automatically. Where a project includes a limited period for correcting workmanship defects, its scope and length are set out in the project's written scope or agreement.

We may update our services, packages and prices at any time. A change on the website does not change a project that has already been agreed in writing.

4. Inquiries and communication

Sending an inquiry through our form or by email does not create a client relationship or any obligation for either of us. We review each inquiry and may decline any project at our discretion. We aim to reply by email, but we do not guarantee a response time.

Please send only information you are comfortable sharing by email. Do not send passwords, payment card numbers or other sensitive account information through the website.

5. Our content and brand

Unless stated otherwise, the content of this website, including its text, design, graphics, illustrations, screenshots and code, belongs to PixelWielder or is used with the permission of its owners, and it is protected by copyright and other laws.

You may view the website and print or save pages for your own reference, including to evaluate our services. You may not copy, republish, sell or create derivative works from the website or its content, or reuse its design, without our written permission, except as the law otherwise allows.

The PixelWielder name and logo identify our studio. Please do not use them in a way that suggests a connection with, or endorsement by, PixelWielder without our written permission.

6. Portfolio, concept work and illustrative images

Some work shown on this website is self-initiated concept work. Riverstone Outdoor Services is a fictional business created for a PixelWielder portfolio concept; it is not a client, and its website is a demonstration.

Photographs on this website are illustrative unless stated otherwise. They are licensed stock photography, and the people, places and businesses in them are not PixelWielder clients or employees and do not endorse PixelWielder.

7. Third-party materials and credits

This website includes material created by others and used under license.

3D device models

The laptop and phone in our homepage illustration were rendered from these 3D models, each licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0):

We modified both models: logos and wordmarks were removed, our own website screenshots were added to the screens, and the models were lit, rendered and combined with other artwork. The creators do not endorse PixelWielder. The models are provided by their creators as-is, as described in the license. Apple, MacBook Pro and iPhone are trademarks of Apple Inc. PixelWielder is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Apple.

8. Acceptable use

When using this website, please do not:

  • break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
  • send spam, malicious code or misleading or abusive messages through our forms;
  • try to gain unauthorized access to the website or to the systems behind it, or interfere with how it works;
  • scrape or copy the website or its content in bulk, or use automated means to submit inquiries.

This website links to websites we do not control, such as our Riverstone concept site, photographers' pages and service providers. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

10. Accuracy and availability

We try to keep this website accurate and up to date, but it may contain errors or become out of date, and we may change or remove content at any time. We do not promise that the website will always be available or free of errors or harmful components.

11. Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, this website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. This section does not affect any rights you have under laws that cannot be waived, and it does not change any warranty set out in a signed project agreement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PixelWielder will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13. Project agreements

If you engage PixelWielder for a project, the written agreement for that project governs the work, including its scope, price, payment, ownership, revisions and any correction period. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the project agreement controls for that project.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where the law of the place where you live requires otherwise.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date below. Your continued use of the website after an update means the updated terms apply to that use.
